NomNominate
An app that decides where a group eats: everyone's standing verdicts rule places out, five nearby options remain, and a short ranked-choice vote picks one.
The problem
Most restaurant apps help you find somewhere new. A family deciding where to eat already knows the places, so the hard part is ruling them out.
What changed
It is live at nomnominate.app with magic-link sign-in (a link sent by email) and a password option. Next.js on Vercel, Supabase for the data, with row-level security so each group sees only its own.

What I built
A group signs in, opens a session from a phone's location, and gets five nearby places that nobody has ruled out. Each person's verdicts are kept: a place can be paused for a while instead of blocked for good, and a saved profile can answer for someone who isn't holding a phone. The vote is built as ranked-choice with a five-minute clock.
